CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
INSIGHT:
Gentrification is a neverending issue in emerging cities. When a city experiences rapid growth, art and community-related spaces are often first to be pushed out and replaced by commercial development.
OBJECTIVE:
To reinvigorate and and preserve the emerging cities’ arts and history through a multilayered campaign by:
• Generating interest through a competition that highlights talent from local artists
• Creating an artist-in-residence program
• Building a space to showcase and market the locally created, community inspired work.
In short, to highlight hidden potential.
Case Study & Identity
Focal Project's micro-sites are used to provide information, as well as serve as a platform to donate, participate in campaigns, and nominate potential artists.
